MEET HENK VOGELS
As a ‘lead out’ man on the pro cycling tour, Henk Vogels regularly put it all on the line for his team. A Perth boy originally, Henk turned professional at 21 and competed in two Tours of France, two Tours of Italy and two Tours of Spain. He competed in eight World Championships, claimed podium finishes in Classics such as Gent Wevelgem and finished in the gruelling Paris Roubaix inside the top ten. He was also Australian Professional Road Champion in 1999. Cycling has been his life.
